About Me

I specialize in providing therapy to Deaf and hard of hearing individuals. I communicate fluently in American Sign Language as well as spoken English. As a culturally competent mental health provider, I also treat Children of Deaf Adults as well as ASL interpreters. My practice is available to individuals ages 8 and up.

Counseling services are offered both in an office setting and/or by videophone to individuals in Virginia and Maryland.

I am a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor in Maryland and a Licensed Professional Counselor in Virginia, with more than 23 years of experience in providing counseling to individuals, couples and families. I graduated with a Masters in Clinical Counseling from The Citadel in Charleston, SC.

My clinical experience includes thirteen years in the South Carolina Department of Mental Health in Charleston, SC and Spartanburg, SC. A large portion of my work experience during this time was with children and adolescents. During the past eleven years, I have been working for a community mental health center in Fairfax County, Virginia. In addition to providing counseling for mood disorders, anxiety, trauma related issues, co-occurring disorders and other mental health issues, I also work with individuals who are referred by their probation officers for anger management and domestic violence counseling.
